Volunteers are the heart of the Holt County Animal Shelter.  As a private, non profit organization, we rely heavily on the assistance of our caring, dedicated and hard-working volunteers to accomplish our important mission.  Volunteers work side-by-side with shelter staff and provide help to improve the quality of life for the shelter animals.  They allow us to achieve excellence in all that we do making the community a better place for both people and pets.  We always need folks to help with daily feeding and cleaning, to providing mental and behavioral enrichment for the animals in our care, to assisting people in locating lost pets.  Our volunteers help in countless ways everyday of the year.
