Adoptable Dogs

Our adoption process is simple.
Once you fill out an application, we will verify your references, then the board will approve or decline the application. You can come in and meet the dog and fill the 
application out in person, or you can submit it online.
Once approved we will contact you to finalize the adoption.

Adoption Fee's
Puppies (altered) - $250
Puppies (Unaltered - $300 ($50 refunded with proof of spay/neuter
Adult Dogs - $200

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered (if age appropriate),  microchipped and have age appropriate vaccinations. If a puppy is not yet altered a spay/neuter contract will be issued.

The Mission of the Holt County Animal Shelter is to foster a healthy companionship between Humans and animals, to help enhance appreciation of animals, prevent their abuse, and underscore their intrinsic value.

The Holt County Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit organization. We are funded entirely by private donations from our community.

Mission Statement

In 2006 a group of concerned citizens came together to form Holt County Humane Society The mission then, and now is the same.

We are here to foster healthy companionship  between animals and humans. Through education and example we promote the appreciation of animals, and prevent the abuse and neglect.
